Celtic have been pretty active in the summer transfer window, adding new faces to their squad till now. Those are Odin Thiago Holm, Marco Tilio, Yang Hyun-jun, Kwon Hyeok-kyu, Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke. All of them are highly-rated players with a lot of potential. And it looks like the Hoops will be sticking to their strategy.

One area where Celtic might looking to bring in reinforcements is up front. Kyogo has done a tremendous job at Parkhead since arriving in the summer of 2021 and has started this campaign in great form as well.

With Oh Hyeon-gyu out injured, Kyogo is the only option the club have at striker right now though. And perhaps adding someone else to the mix would be sensible both in the short and long run.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in an extra forward before the summer transfer window closes. Celtic are weighing up a move for Mathias Kvistgaarden.

Kvistgaarden currently plays for Brondby IF in Denmark. He has been a part of several Danish youth international sides as well and performed at a high level for them.

Kvistgaarden is 21 years of age and has been showing glimpses of brilliance in recent times. He appeared to come into his own at the business end of last season and put up some impressive numbers for Brondby when it mattered the most. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 9 appearances in the Superligaen Championship round of the 2022/23 campaign.

Thus, it is not hard to see why Celtic might have an eye on the youngster. He does seem to have a high ceiling.

In terms of style of play, Kvistgaarden seems somewhat similar to Kyogo. Not a physical presence up top, but someone with great movement and good finishing.
