Celtic have a stacked roster at this point in time and Brendan Rodgers might find it difficult to give enough playing time to everyone involved. Thus, loan moves away might be a good solution for many, especially youngsters who need to be playing regular football at this stage of their career in order to continue their development.

Some have already headed out on loan this summer. And one would expect several more to join them over the last few weeks of the summer transfer window.

One of the most talented youngsters in the Celtic youth setup right now is Ben McPherson. He had the chance to head to Austria on loan, but it looks like he will be heading for the Scottish second division instead.

As reported by the Daily Record, McPherson had the chance to move to Admira Wacker on loan but the youngster has decided to remain in Scotland. Queen’s Park are closing in on a move to sign him for the season.

Celtic do not have the best record in recent times when it comes to bringing through their youth stars into the senior team. That is something that must change.

Of course, the club have not been helped by the fact that several of their best players from the youth levels have chosen to leave before ever really making an impact at the senior level. Ben Doak is a perfect example of this, as he looks set to make a name for himself at Liverpool.

Rocco Vata is considered as one of the best of his age group and has made a few appearances for the senior team but he is now being linked with a move away as well. It remains to be seen what the future holds.
