Celtic have a couple of very good options at striker right now. Kyogo is coming off a 34-goal season. On the other hand, Oh Hyeon-gyu appears to be finding his feet in Glasgow as well. He scored consistently towards the end of last season and has impressed in pre-season as well. That being said, the Hoops could do with a third option up top.
Celtic are expected to challenge for all three domestic trophies once again. On the other hand, they have guaranteed Champions League group stage football coming up too.
One of the major things that let them down in the Champions League last season was their finishing. Thus, it might be worth having a different option around.
Yet, Celtic are not being linked with any strikers at this point in time. While the Hoops might potentially not be willing to invest significantly in a position where they already have Kyogo and Oh, perhaps a loan move would make sense.
Celtic must try to sign superb Chelsea striker on loan
Armando Broja has been considered one of the best young talents in Europe for a long time. He has had impressive loan spells at Vitesse and Southampton in the past as well. But at Chelsea, he has not gotten his chances.
Right now, Chelsea have Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in their ranks, while there are also suggestions that they could bring in Dusan Vlahovic over the coming weeks in a deal that would see Romelu Lukaku go to Juventus. With all these players around, it is hard to see Broja getting too many opportunities in Mauricio Pochettino’s side. A loan move to Celtic could make sense for all parties though.
Broja has a ton of untapped potential and already has Premier League experience. At 21 years of age, he has plenty of room for improvement and development. The Albian international has all the tools required to be a top striker in the game. A lot of fans might not like the idea of loan deals, but signing someone on a temporary basis is better than bringing no one in at all.
