It has been a great week for Celtic went it comes to recruitments. Hyun-jun Yang, Hyeok-kyu Kwon and Maik Nawrocki have all signed for the Hoops. Three new players in within a week is pretty good going and there could be more to come in the future, as the club continue to reshape their shape.

Brendan Rodgers appears to be already preparing another boost for the club. The Northern Irishman has certainly been working hard to build and strengthen the squad since he returned as manager just some weeks ago.

In addition to this week’s trio of arrivals, he has also seen Odin Thiago Holm and Marco Tilio join the club this summer. It is quite likely that there are more players set to arrive before the summer transfer window closes in a little over a month.

Rodgers is also clearly keen to make sure that he uses the players available to him effectively. And Celtic now look set to make an addition to the Northern Irishman’s backroom team.

Rodgers ready to add key member to Celtic backroom team

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Rodgers is set to add analyst Jack Lyons to his backroom staff at Celtic. He had followed the Northern Irishman to Leicester City but now looks poised to return to Parkhead.

Rodgers has benefitted from the stability of the backroom team at Celtic, retaining those who were already there and had worked with Ange Postecoglou. But it is also healthy to have some fresh thinking and analysis come in though, especially with a lot of new players also joining the squad. Lyons is a trusted analyst and looks to be a great acquisition if the move ends up being finalised.

The move for Lyons also underlines Rodgers drive to improve the club set up and aim for an effective and successful European campaign.
