Celtic fans are not fond of Steven Gerrard and it is pretty simple to understand why. The Liverpool legend spent several years managing the Rangers. And while he did only manage to win one trophy during that period of time, it was a big one, as his team were able to stop the Hoops from doing 10IAR.

That remains the only trophy that Gerrard has won as a manager till now. He would the Rangers in the middle of the next season in order to join Aston Villa. Things did not go according to plan there. And he was shown the exit door by the Premier League club after less than a year in charge.

Gerrard now finds himself as the manager of Al Ettifaq. And it looks like a Celtic Invincible hero is set to join the club this summer.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Al Ettifaq have reached agreement in principle to sign Moussa Dembele as a free agent. There are still some details to sort the move is really close.

Dembele was incredible during his time at Celtic and played a major part in their success. He would ultimately leave in order to join Lyon in the summer of 2018, around the same time that Gerrard joined the Rangers.

Dembele had an up and down time at Lyon. He was spectacular in a few seasons, while he failed to make much of an impact in other ones. His contract ran out this summer, meaning he was available as a free agent.

Most people expected Dembele to remain in Europe and a move to the Premier League was rumoured. But now, it looks like he is headed to Al Ettifaq in order to play under the management of Gerrard. We can only wish him the best.
