Celtic have already made quite a few additions to their ranks this summer as they aim to retain three trophies and make their presence felt in the Champions League group stage, now that Brendan Rodgers is back in the Parkhead hot seat. Marco Tilio and Odin Thiago Holm have already arrived, while the belief is that a double announcement for the signings of Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Yang Hyun-jun is also very close.

If recent rumours are anything to go by, it looks like it is a centre-back that Celtic are targeting next. It is not hard to understand why either. Nobody has really looked impressive in the absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is currently recovering after undergoing surgery.

Celtic have been already linked with Xavier Mbuyamba, who has spent time at the youth ranks of Barcelona and Chelsea. And now, it looks like they have put in an offer for a different defender.

As reported by Transfery.info, Celtic have already submitted an offer for Maik Nawrocki. This one, including all bonuses, amounts to up to €6 million. Legia Warsaw would retain a sell-on clause as well.

The name of Nawrocki has been doing the rounds of the Celtic rumour mill recently. It appears that the Polish youth international is someone who has managed to catch the eye of the Hoops.

He currently plays for Legia Warsaw and is 22 years of age. Many fans will remember that that is the club from which Celtic signed Josip Juranovic and that turned out very well to be honest.

Nawrocki might be just the kind of defender that Celtic need at the back right now. Galatasaray are also believed to be interested in the defender, as are other clubs. The Hoops were leaking goals towards the end of last season without Carter-Vickers and recently saw Yokohama F. Marinos score six past them in pre-season.
