After allowed Yokohama F. Marinos to score six goals past them, it is not hard to see why Celtic might potentially be looking for defenders this summer. Mbuyamba was part of the youth ranks at Barcelona. He would end up at Chelsea as well, but was not able to make it at either club.
He currently finds himself in the Dutch top flight with FC Volendam and has done a wonderful job for them till now. It looks like the highly-rated centre-back has finally found his feet at the senior level and is showing fans what the hype was all about.
Mbuyamba is without doubt one of the best young defenders in the Eredivisie right now and if Celtic are able to sign him, it would be considered a major coup. The 21-year-old is great in the air, solid in defence and comfortable with the ball at his feet. Yes, he is not the most experienced but he has the potential to be a top quality centre-back.
