When Ange Postecoglou left Celtic, days after leading them to a domestic treble, it was viewed as a major problem for the club. They went out and brought in the best possible replacement though in the form of Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman is already proven in the Scottish game, having won seven trophies during his first stint at Parkhead.

Many had feared that the appointment of Rodgers would cause the club to move away from the transfer policy that had brought them so much success under the management of Postecoglou. That does not appear to be the case though.

It seems to be business as usual at Celtic Park once again this summer. One of their latest signings is Yang Hyun-jun, even though the signing has not even been officially announced by the Hoops yet.

Yang might not have even put on the Celtic jersey, but he has already let his Premier League ambitions be known to the world. As reported by The Scottish Sun, he said:

"“My goal is to go to the EPL, but I think I can do that only if I become the best player in the Scottish Premiership.”"

There were rumours that Yang would join up with the Celtic squad in Japan. But now, it looks like he has flown to the UK in order to get the deal over the line and fans should be expecting the announcement of his arrival very soon.

Some might raise their eyebrows at the fact that Yang is so open to his Premier League ambitions even before playing a minute of football for Celtic. But then, it is good to see that he is honest about his goals and if he does leave in the future, it would not come as a surprise.

If Yang does earn a move to the Premier League eventually, it would mean that he has played exceptionally well for Celtic. And that is all the fans could ask for.
