Celtic agree terms and could complete move this week
Following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers for a second stint in the Parkhead hot seat, Celtic have been moving quickly in the summer transfer market. The club have already completed the signing of Odin Thiago Holm, one of the most highly-rated talents in Norwegian football right now. And a second signing does not seem far away.
Marco Tilio is someone the club were believed to be scouting during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. And while the Australian might have left for Tottenham Hotspur, it looks like the Hoops are ready to move forward with their interest.
Tilio currently plays for Melbourne City FC and is considered as one of the biggest talents in Australian football right now. Thus, signing the 21-year-old would have to be considered as a major coup for the Hoops.
As tweeted out by Anthony Joseph, Celtic have agreed terms with Tilio. The paperwork is being finalised and the Hoops hope to complete the transfer this week.

Tilio is a superb talent without doubt. He can play all across the forward line, as a number 10 and even in the number 8 role if the situation calls for it. He mostly plays on the right flank though.
That is interesting considering the doubts surrounding the future of Liel Abada at Celtic Park. The Isreali international winger has been linked with a move away for quite some time now and the general expectation appears to be that he will be on his way out in the ongoing summer transfer window. Could Tilio be brought in as his replacement?
Whatever maybe the case, it is promising to see Celtic being so active early in the transfer window. It is a good habit from the Postecoglou era that the club to be holding on to.
