Celtic are in the middle of a very important and exciting summer window. They have a ‘new’ manager in place in the form of Brendan Rodgers after Ange Postecoglou left the club in order to join Tottenham Hotspur. And thus, it will be interesting to see what kind of a transfer approach the Hoops take with the Northern Irishman in the hot seat.

They have already completed the signing of Odin Thiago Holm from Valerenga. The signing of Marco Tilio of Melbourne City FC only seems like a matter of time as well. The club have also been linked with talent currently playing their club football in South Korea, Sweden and Serbia.

Thus, the transfer policy does not seem very different to the one they used so successfully under the management of Postecoglou. At the same time though, Celtic have been linked with a few who played under the management of Rodgers at Leicester City.

One of them if Wilfred Ndidi. He was considered the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League not too long ago but has had a couple of tough years, even seeing the Foxes get relegated last season. Could a move to Celtic be the next step for him?

Ndidi to Celtic news amid transfer rumours

As reported by Football Scotland, Ndidi is not a serious transfer target for Celtic this summer. It is not a deal the Hoops are pursuing at this time.

Of course, on top of his game, Ndidi is an exceptional player and one Celtic would be lucky to have. But there are a few concerns about any move for him at this point of time.

On one hand, we have seen Ndidi struggle in recent years and many believe that injuries have caught up to him, even though he is just 26 years of age. On the other hand, it would take a significant fee to sign him.
