Celtic appear to be moving quickly in the summer transfer window. They have already signed Odin Thiago Holm from Valerenga and he is one of the most highly rated talents in Norwegian football. A move for Marco Tilio could be close as well. And the club have been linked with plenty of other talents from around the globe.

On the other hand, the fans will have their eyes on some of the club’s former players as well. If they move, it could result in a cash boost for Celtic through sell-on clauses.

One such player who could be on the move this summer is Jeremie Frimpong, who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. He has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for a while. And now, it looks like Real Madrid are in the picture as well.

As reported by the Daily Record, Real Madrid have closely monitored Frimpong’s development at Bayer Leverkusen and view him as Galactico quality. Celtic are believed to have a sell-on clause in the 15 per cent region.

Frimpong is believed to be rated at a transfer fee around €40 million. But with the level of the clubs interested in him, it would be no surprise if that figure climbed quickly.

Real Madrid are in need of a right-back at the moment. Dani Carvajal is no longer the right-back that he was in his prime. On the other hand, the club do not have any genuine back up option to the Spaniard either.

If Frimpong does end up at Real Madrid this summer, then it would be a meteoric rise for him. It was not too long ago that he left the Manchester City youth set up in order to join Celtic and he has not looked back since.
