Celtic have made a bright start to their summer transfer window, already announcing the signing of Odin Thiago Holm. The midfielder is one of the best young prospects in Norwegian football right now and has even earned comparisons with Martin Odegaard. There have even been suggestions that the club have agreed a transfer fee for Marco Tilio of Melbourne City FC, who is considered by many as the best dribbler in Australian football right now and a supreme talent himself.

Some fans had feared that the club’s transfer policy would undergo a change with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers. But that has not been the case, as they continue to be linked with talents from all over the world.

Rumours broke out not too long ago that they had submitted an offer for Yang Hyun-jun as well. But his club, Gangwon FC, are in a relegation struggle right now and are not keen to let one of their star players leave.

The winger is one of the best rising talents in South Korea right now. And interestingly, he seems keen to make the move to Europe.

As reported by Sports-G, Yang said:

"“This time, a good offer came from Celtic, and I am honest with myself that I want to go.”"

But if the move does not happen then Yang is ready to continue giving his best for Gangwon FC, as he added:

"“Of course, I still want to go to Europe, but if Gangwon rejects this offer, I have to do my best as a member of Gangwon. I think that’s pro.”"

Let’s see what the future holds for Yang. There is no question about his talent either and at 21 years of age, he has plenty of room for growth as well.

Celtic already have one South Korean player in their ranks in the form of Oh Hyeon-gyu. And it remains to be seen if they can add Yang to their roster this summer or not.

This is clearly a difficult position for everybody involved. And in many ways, it will remind fans of the Cho Gue-sung saga from January.
