Brendan Rodgers is back at Celtic for a second stint as the manager of the club. The first one had been extremely successful, as he won seven trophies. At the same time though, the manner of his exit was extremely controversial, as the Northern Irishman left in the middle of the 2018/19 season to join Leicester City. Thus, he has to mend fences with a section of the fanbase this time around.

Timothy Weah proved to be one of the final signings made by Rodgers during his first stint at Celtic. He was brought in on loan from PSG.

Weah did not end up doing anything remarkable during his time at Celtic. In fact, his loan spell was cut short when he was selected by the United States for the Under-2O World Cup. As a result, he ended up missing the Scottish Cup final.

Weah has only had positive things to say about Celtic since leaving though. And he has been on a meteoric rise as well, which shows why Rodgers had brought him in in the first place.

Weah joined Lille on a permanent basis not too long after leaving Celtic. And he has been impressive for the French club. So much so that a move to Juventus seems to be on the verge of completion.

As reported by The Athletic, Juventus are closing in on the signing of Weah from Lille. The deal is not yet completely agreed, but the clubs are close to a deal in the region of €12million. The United States international has already agreed personal terms on a long-term contract with the Italian giants.

It would have been great if Celtic fans could have seen more from Weah during his short stint with the Hoops. We can only wish the best moving forward.
