Celtic seem to be making a blistering start to Brendan Rodgers’ second stint as the manager of the club. They have already announced the signing of Norwegian midfielder, Odin Thiago Holm. He is considered as a huge talent back in his homeland and at his best, many feel that he is as good as Martin Odegaard. Thus, it goes without saying that the move could turn out to be a major coup for the Hoops in the long run.

Celtic seem to be moving at fast pace though. And it looks like they are now closing in on their second signing of this summer transfer window as well.

As reported by the Daily Record, Australian sources have confirmed that a deal has been struck for Marco Tilio with Melbourne City FC. Now, it is about the player agreeing terms and passing his medical.

Tilio is one of the most highly rated talents in Australian football right now. Although just 21 years of age, he is already a regular for Melbourne City FC and has made quite a few appearances for the Socceroos as well.

Tilio mostly plays as a right winger but he can play on the opposite flank as well, and also as a centre-forward if the situation demands it. The links with him are interesting, as Liel Abada has been linked with a move away for months now. Could the Australian be his replacement?

It remains to be seen if Celtic are able to get a deal over the line for Tilio. But it certainly feels like only a matter of time, now that a transfer fee is believed to have been agreed between the two clubs.

Rodgers has a good reputation for developing youngsters. And it is promising to see the club targeting highly rated ones.
