Brendan Rodgers’ second run as Celtic manager has just started and the club have already announced their first signing of the summer in the form of Odin Thiago Holm. The Norwegian midfielder is very highly rated in his homeland and at his best, many believe he is as good as Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard.

Thus, it is understandable that Celtic fans are excited about Holm and what he will bring to the table next season. The club might be looking to make more additions in the middle of the park though.

There have been suggestions that Aaron Mooy is considering the prospect of retiring. On the other hand, both Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate have been heavily linked with moves away from the club this summer as well.

Thus, it would not be a surprise if Celtic need to make more additions in the middle of the park. And as tweeted out by Ed Aarons, Celtic, Fiorentina, Lille and Montpellier are interested in Kings Kangwa. Nottingham Forest have held talks with Red Star Belgrade over signing him. It could take a transfer fee around €3 million.

Kangwa plays for the Zambia national team and Red Star Belgrade. And he has been very impressive in recent times, which has seen so many top clubs across Europe showing an interest in him.

The biggest quality that Kangwa has is his ability to find the back of the net. And that could come in handy for any club. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 45 appearances last season.

That is a solid return for a central midfielder and it is not hard to see why so many clubs are after his signature. With that level of competition, Celtic might find it difficult to bring Kangwa to Glasgow.
