It is no secret that Celtic are in search of a new manager right now, after Ange Postecoglou left the club in order to join Tottenham Hotspur days after guiding the Hoops to a historic domestic treble. Thus, they have been left with big shoes to fill and have been linked with a long list of managers to replace the Australian.

Established names like Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes and Graham Potter have been linked with the job, as have the likes of Enzo Maresca and Kjetil Knutsen. Thus, it looks like a pretty open race this point of time with the bookies favourite changing almost every day.

Despite of Celtic being linked with almost a dozen managers over the past few days, it looks like the club have opened talks with someone there were pretty much zero links with till now. That man is none other than Daniel Farke.

As tweeted out by Florian Plettenberg, Celtic are very interested in signing Farke as a replacement for Postecoglou. First talks have taken place.

Celtic open talks with German manager out of nowhere

Farke has had an interesting managerial career for sure. He was a big success for Norwich City at the Championship level, winning the English second division twice. But at the same time, he could not make his mark in the Premier League.

His most recent job was at Borussia Monchengladbach. But unfortunately, Farke did not have a successful time at the German club. Could he end up at Celtic next?

Farke is an interesting name to consider for sure. He has some decent experience as a manager, which someone like Maresca does not. At the same time though, the German has faced both ups and downs through the course of his managerial run till now, and there would be both pros and cons if he was brought in by Celtic as the replacement for Postecoglou.
