Celtic fan favourite being considered for manager role
The Ange Postecoglou Era at Celtic Park was a fun one. But it was a short one as well. And the club now find themselves staring at uncertainty, with the Australian leaving after two seasons at Parkhead to take over at Tottenham Hotspur. One can only wish him well and thank him for the remarkable job that he did, winning five out of six domestic trophies. It is time to look for a new manager.
That search must be already underway, with Postecoglou’s move to Tottenham Hotspur being confirmed today. And a number of interesting names have been brought up as possible candidates the job.
The likes of Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes and a few others have been brought up as possible candidates for the job. But it looks like another name is being considered as well, and it is one that will please the fans.
As reported by STV, Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen is also under consideration to be the next Celtic manager.
Celtic fan favourite being considered for manager role
A number of Celtic fans have taken to social media over the past few days to throw the name of Knutsen into the ring for the managerial vacancy at the club. It is quite clear that they were impressed by what his Bodo/Glimt side managed to do against the Hoops last season, completely outplaying them over the two legs.
It was a great display to say the least. And thus, it makes sense to keep an eye out on Knutsen as a possible option to replace Postecoglou.
At the same time though, there have to be some doubts as well. Knutsen’s managerial career had been unremarkable before his recent success at Bodo/Glimt. He has never managed a team like Celtic, and in fact, he has never coached outside of Norway at all.
