Ange Postecoglou is set to leave Celtic and will be joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer. While a deal has not been made official yet, it is only a matter of time at this point. The club can only thank the Australian for the job he has done at Parkhead, taking a side in complete disarray and turning them into the dominant team in Scottish football, winning five trophies in two seasons.

It is time to move on though. That is life at Celtic, where the revolving door never really stops, especially if you find success like Postecoglou did.

Now, Celtic have been left with big shoes to fill. And the fans will be hoping for a big name appointment. At the same time though, it is important to be smart. Postecoglou was not someone that many people wanted and we all know how that turned out.

Amid rumours linking the club with managers like Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers, Jesse Marsch, David Moyes and more, Celtic have been advised to bring in Kjetil Knutsen. He is being linked with Ajax as well though, so the Hoops might need to move quick.

As Jan Aage Fjortoft tweeted out, Celtic should check out Knutsen:

Of course, Celtic fans will already know about Knutsen and the job that he has done at Bodo/Glimt. They came up against the Norwegian team in Europe last season and were completely outplayed by them to be very honest on both occasions.

At the same time, a move for Knutsen would come with risk as well. The 54-year-old’s managerial career had been completely unremarkable before his stint at Bodo/Glimt. Thus, one has to wonder whether his recent success might be a result of a very well run club. Also, he has never managed a club outside of Norway.
