Ange Postecoglou is set to leave Celtic this summer. It is time to start accepting that. There has been a lot of ‘will he won’t he’ about the matter in the past several days but now, the matter looks as good as done with some of the most reliable sources in the game reporting that the Australian boss is on his way out of Parkhead and is very close to agreeing a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Of course, that news will leave Celtic fans disappointed and even heartbroken to some extent. Not only did Postecoglou win five trophies in two seasons for the club but he won over the fans as well.

Postecoglou is a special manager and a special man. Thus, it is safe to say that Tottenham Hotspur fans should start getting excited about what is to come next season. On the other hand, Celtic will need to search for a new boss who can build on top of what the Australian has built.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano on Instagram, the appointment will be done next week, if all goes to plan. Postecoglou has accepted, and it is a matter of details. The agreement is almost done as new round of talks will take place in the next hours with the Australian’s agents.

Fabrizio latest update as Postecoglou close to Celtic exit

Celtic fans can only thank Postecoglou for all the success that he has brought to the club. But it looks like it is time to start moving on.

Postecoglou will always remain a Celtic hero. He arrived when the club was in a terrible place and leaves with it in a much better position.

There has been some negativity from the Celtic support to the news. But with time, most will recognise what Postecoglou brought to the club.
