Celtic boss explains why he won’t talk about Tottenham
Celtic might have won the Scottish Cup, and completed the treble as a result, but a cloud of uncertainty hangs over the club. Ange Postecoglou continues to be linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, having guided the Hoops to five trophies over his two seasons at Parkhead. Unsurprisingly, that has left a lot of fans worried about what is to come over the coming weeks.
It is safe to say that fans will be hoping that Postecoglou stays on at Celtic for the foreseeable future. He has done a remarkable job for the club since arriving in the summer of 2021 amid doubts and very little expectations.
One reason they have been left even more worried is the fact that Postecoglou refuses to directly address the links to Tottenham Hotspur. Most people would like a bit more clarity about the matter.
Postecoglou has explained why he won’t talk about the Premier League giants though. As reported by the Daily Record, when he was asked on Viaplay Sports UK if there had been any contact either directly or indirectly from Tottenham Hotspur, the Celtic boss said:
"“You’re talking about things that are taking me away from enjoying this moment and I’m not going to let that happen."

Many fans have read between the lines and body language and come to the conclusion that Postecoglou is set to leave. But things might not be that straightforward.
Instead, it might be that he is unsure what the future holds but will listen to the offer that Tottenham Hotspur have for him. There have been suggestions that the Premier League club will hold talks with the manager after the final.
At this point of time, all Celtic fans can do is hope that Postecoglou stays on. For now, it is time to celebrate though. They just won a treble and moments like these do not come around too often.
