Celtic have a number of very highly-rated players at the club right now. And it will be a tough task for them to keep hold of most of them in the summer. Several are being linked with moves away from Parkhead. And it is not just the senior players who have helped them to on trophy after another in recent times, but the youngsters as well.

One criticism that Celtic have faced in recent times is regarding their inability to bring through youngsters into the first-team. That is one area that they need to improve in.

They have not been helped by the fact that a number of their most highly rated youngsters have decided to leave before ever getting the chance to break into the first-team. And it looks like another name will have a chance to join that list in the near future.

As reported by the Daily Record, Newcastle United are watching Mitchel Frame very closely. The Celtic youngster is on their radar. Crystal Palace and Brighton are already on the case.

Frame is just 17 years of age and he is very highly rated at Parkhead. Many expect the full-back to be a part of the first-team one day.

Of course, that will not be possible if he ends up leaving the club in the near future. There does not seem to be any lack of interest in the youngster’s signature.

Frame’s current deal with Celtic is believed to run till the summer of 2025 though. That means that any club interested in signing him would have to agree a transfer fee with the Hoops.

Let’s see how things turn out for Frame. He is clearly a player with a lot of potential. And the best case scenario would be him staying on at Celtic Park.
