Celtic have been very successful under the management of Ange Postecoglou over the past couple of seasons. They won a double in the previous campaign and are going for a treble this time around, with the Scottish Cup final against Inverness CT at the weekend. This summer is going to be vital for the future of the Hoops though.

Not only is Postecoglou being linked with a move away but several other players are as well. One of them is Liel Abada.

Abada was one of the earliest signings of the Postecoglou Era at Celtic and he has been a vital part of their successes as well. But over the past few months, he has been heavily linked with a move away from Parkhead, with several clubs across Europe believed to be interested.

As reported by Football Insider, Frank McAvennie said about the situation:

"“As Ange has said anybody who does not want to be there will not be there.“There is a lot of talk about him but Ange sees him every day, the coaching staff sees him ever day so they will know if he is planning for a move.“If he is planning to get a move then he will go.”"

While Abada has played a key part in Celtic’s successes over the past two seasons, it is also true that he has been struggling for starts this season. Jota and Daizen Maeda have established themselves as the regular starters on the wings and the Israeli international has struggled to get ahead of the duo in the pecking order.

That is nothing to be ashamed of though, considering the level at which Jota and Maeda have been playing at this season. But Abada surely will be looking to get more playing time. And that has opened the door to a move away in the summer.

Rumours have suggested that Celtic could be willing to listen to offers around and north of £10 million. Southampton were one of the clubs rumoured to hold an interest in signing Abada but following their relegation from the Premier League, that might be unlikely. European giants like Ajax and Benfica have also been linked with him though.
