Celtic have two great options at striker right now in the form of Kyogo and Oh Hyeon-gyu. The Japanese forward has been the star man for the Hoops this season, having scored 33 goals till now. On the other hand, the South Korean international was brought in in January to replace Giorgos Giakoumakis and he is starting to score consistently as well, as it looks like he has found his feet in Scotland.

At the same time though, one has to admit that Celtic could do with another option at striker. Especially as they are set to play in the Champions League group stages once again.

This season, Celtic were let down by their finishing in the Champions League. Even though they put in good performances against Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig, they were unable to convert their chances and did not win a single game.

As a result, it would not be a surprise if Celtic add another striker to their ranks in the summer. And it looks like Zan Vipotnik has caught their attention.

Vipotnik has been in top form this season for NK Maribor. And at 21 years of age, he has a lot of potential as well as room for improvement.

It looks like there is truth to the rumours linking Celtic with a move for Vipotkin. As reported by Football Scotland, his agent Sasa Zupan said:

"“Yes, there is interest from Celtic for a summer transfer but there a lot of clubs who want to sign Zan when the window opens.”"

It goes without saying that signing someone like Vipotkin could be an exciting prospect for Celtic. He has scored 23 goals for NK Maribor across all competitions till now this season. Thus, the 21-year-old certainly knows his way to the back of the net. He is rated at a transfer fee around £3.5 million though, which would be significant to shell out for someone who has not played outside of the Slovenian league till now.
