Celtic player is an injury doubt for Scottish Cup final
Celtic fans have been left worried by the club’s recent run of form. They have won just one of their previous league games and have not tasted victory since clinching the Premiership away at Tynecastle Park against Hearts. It just feels like a number of their players have taken their foot off the gas and that has been reflected in their recent results.
It is not ideal preparation ahead of the upcoming Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden Park early next month. At the same time, form is not their only worry at the moment. So are injuries.
While there has been positive news regarding the situation of Alistair Johnston in that regard, it looks like the participation of Aaron Mooy in the Scottish Cup final is in doubt. The Australian midfielder has been dealing with an issue in recent weeks.
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Ange Postecoglou said about the situation of Mooy while talking in a media conference on Celtic’s official YouTube channel:
"“Aaron Mooy is still struggling with his back complaint, so he’ll miss out against Aberdeen and is probably a doubt for the cup final.”"
Celtic player is an injury doubt for Scottish Cup final
Celtic’s form has not been helped by the number of key players they have been missing in recent weeks. It has resulted in Postecoglou having to make several changes and the team has appeared to lack rhythm and cohesion in their performances.
They have just one game left before the Scottish Cup final against Inverness CT. That is against Aberdeen on Trophy Day and one can only hope that the Bhoys are able to get a win on that occasion.
Celtic definitely are in need of building up some positive momentum before the final. It is not just the Scottish Cup that is up for grabs but a treble as well. They simply cannot afford to let his chance slip. And while they will be considered favourites, it would be a big mistake to take Inverness CT lightly.
