Celtic fans sent clear message about Tottenham Hotspur rumours
Ange Postecoglou has done a remarkable job as the manager of Celtic. And when the club take to the pitch against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden Park next month, he will have the chance to do what a select few have done before him, win a treble. Of course, that kind of success has come with interest in the Australian as well, and the latest club to be linked with him are Tottenham Hotspur.
Postecoglou is rumoured to be their number one target for the summer. The club have had a hard time with managers in recent years, and even proven winners like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have failed to guide to silverware.
Now, it looks like they might have sights on Postecoglou to be the man to guide the club to glory. And understandably, the speculation has left Celtic fans worried that the manager could leave.
A lot of people might be reading too much into Postecoglou’s comments though and finding clues where there might not be any. And they have been sent a clear message about the Australian and his ways.
Celtic fans sent clear message about Postecoglou to Tottenham Hotspur rumours
Australian journalist, Vince Rugari, tweeted out:
"Ange has always been good at masking his next move — from Roar to Victory, to Socceroos, the exit from there, and then from YFM to Celtic. He’s a hard man to read. So don’t bother. Just enjoy every remaining moment he’s manager of your team."
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Postecoglou at Celtic Park. The next few days should be one of celebration though.
The club will lift their second straight Premiership title under the management of Postecoglou this weekend. And then, they will have the chance to win the Scottish Cup, and the treble, early next month.
Then, we can look at what the future holds for Postecoglou. Realistically, Tottenham Hotspur are the type of club that could possibly make him consider leaving Celtic and Champions League football. At the same time, the Australian should also have a look at how things have turned out for their last few managers before making a decision.
