Ange Postecoglou has become a favourite of Celtic fans since becoming the manager of the club in the summer of 2021. Of course, a lot of that is down to the success on the pitch. The Hoops won a Premiership and League Cup double last season, and are vying for a treble this time around. At the same time though, a lot of his popularity is down to the way he conducts himself.

Postecoglou is someone who appears to understand the Celtic supporters, like very few have in the past. Even those that have represented the club through the youth ranks.

Of course, the never ending story in Scottish football revolves around Celtic and the Rangers. This league campaign is not even over yet, and there is already talk of the next one and how the Ibrox club can make things tighter. Their recent 3-0 win over Postecoglou’s side seems to have rejuvenated the media as well.

But as reported by The Scotsman, when asked if he expected a tougher title challenge from the Rangers next season, Postecoglou said:

"“I don’t know why that would even concern me to be honest. This time last year Rangers were in a Europa League final and a Scottish Cup final, and they strengthened after the season didn’t they?“So does anybody really care? Like, seriously. We didn’t start favourites in my first year and probably weren’t overwhelming favourites this year, so people will say what they want, mate.”"

Postecoglou has done a tremendous job since arriving as the Celtic manager. And at this point of time, it looks like the Hoops are embarking on another era of dominance over the Scottish game. Let’s see if that turns out to be the case or not.

At the same time, Postecoglou has been constantly linked with a move away from Parkhead as well. The latest club believed to be keeping an eye on him are Tottenham Hotspur.

All of Postecoglou’s recent comments have suggested though that he is planning to be at Celtic, when next season rolls around. And that is great news for the Hoops. It would be tough for them to find a replacement, if the Australian left.
