Neil Lennon enjoyed incredible success at Celtic, both as a player and as a manager. But his stint at Parkhead ended under the worst possible circumstances. The club failed in their quest to win 10IAR. And not only did they fail but by a spectacular margin as well. They finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the league title race and trophyless overall.

Lennon would leave Celtic in the middle of the campaign. But by then, the damage had already been done.

Lennon would then go on to manage Omonia Nicosia to some success but his stint there was not a long one. At the moment, he finds himself without a club, but it looks like he turned down a chance to make a return to management recently.

As reported by the Irish Mirror, Lennon was sounded out by St Patrick’s Athletic over their vacant managerial position. But he has ruled out taking the job.

Lennon has recently been linked with a surprise return to management with Greek giants Olympiakos as well and some rumours have suggested that he is part of their final three man shortlist. If he does end up there then it would be incredible to say the least for the Northern Irishman.

Of course, nothing is over the line yet. Let’s see how things play out. Lennon certainly has the experience of managing at a top club like Celtic and thus knows what it takes to deliver under the pressure of winning almost every game, which is there for every Hoops manager.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for him but we can only wish the best of luck moving forward. No matter how his run at the club ended, he is a legend without doubt.
