Celtic have continuously strengthened their squad during the time of Ange Postecoglou as the manager of the club, won several trophies and are playing some very attractive football at the same time. As a result, the fans have very little to complain about at this point. But if there is one shortcoming that the Hoops have had in recent times, it is their inability to bring through their youth stars into the senior team.

The only player to have come through the youth ranks at Celtic, who is a regular starter right now, is Callum McGregor. Thus, this is one aspect where the Hoops have to improve.

Of course, they have not been helped by the fact that a number of their youth stars have left before ever making much of an impact at Parkhead at the senior level. And now, another player is set to join that quickly growing list.

As reported by Raith Rovers’ official website, Dylan Corr has signed a 1 year pre-contract with the club, and will complete the move upon the completion of his contract with Celtic.

Corr is 19 years of age and a centre-back. He has been a regular for Celtic at the B team level this season but is now set to leave the club for Raith Rovers.

Corr had joined Celtic when he was just 7 years of age and thus, it is sad to see him leave without ever getting a chance at the senior level. But that is football.

At this point of time, it was unlikely that Corr would get a lot of first-team chances anytime soon. Thus, him leaving might be the best step for his career at the senior level. We can only wish him the best moving forward.
