Kyogo has been a brilliant player for Celtic ever since he arrived in the summer of 2021 from Vissel Kobe. He was the first player who showed a glimpse of what the Ange Postecoglou era at Parkhead could and would be like. This season, the Japanese forward has reached the 30-goal mark and has been recognised as the best player in the country right now.

Of course, that kind of form has seen him being linked with a move away from Parkhead as well. Several clubs across Europe are rumoured to be keeping an eye on Kyogo.

It is clear that Kyogo enjoys his time at Celtic. But then, he is a professional footballer as well. So if a fantastic opportunity presented itself, you would expect him to consider it at the very least.

There is some good news for the Hoops in this regard. As reported by Football Insider, there is no release clause in Kyogo’s Celtic contract.

That means that any club looking to sign Kyogo will have to agree a transfer fee with Celtic. And considering the form that the player has showcased over the past two seasons as well as how important he is to the team, one would expect the Hoops to look for something very significant to part ways with him.

Let’s see what the future holds for Kyogo. But him not having a release clause would have to be considered as a positive for Celtic indeed. He is a player that they must try to keep at Parkhead.

Especially with another Champions League group stage coming up next season. In fact, one would hope that the club bring in another striker in the summer. Oh Hyeon-gyu might have a lot of potential but it does not feel like he is ready to deliver in Europe’s elite competition just yet and needs time to adjust to his new surroundings.
