Celtic have a brilliant manager in place right now in the form of Ange Postecoglou. The Australian has done a remarkable job since arriving in Glasgow. He guided the Hoops to an unexpected Premiership and League Cup double last season and the club have a chance of winning a treble this time around.

Of course, one Celtic manager who won the treble is Neil Lennon, in the 2019/20 campaign. Things did not end smoothly for him at Parkhead though.

Under the management of Lennon, Celtic blew their chance of winning 10IAR. They finished that campaign 25 points behind the Rangers and trophyless. The Northern Irishman left in the middle of the season but by then the damage was done.

Lennon would go on to manage Omonia Nicosia after leaving Celtic, to some success. But his run there was not long. And now, it looks like he is set to make a blockbuster return to management.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Lennon has edged closer to a return to football as the manager of Olympiakos. It is understood that the Northern Irishman has made the final shortlist of three for the job with the Greek giants.

One would not expect Lennon to be so close to becoming the manager of the Greek giants, after how his last two spells ended. He does have a proven record when it comes to winning silverware though and has quite a bit of experience of managing under pressure and at big clubs.

Of course, it is not over the line yet and it remains to be seen if Lennon ends up at Olympiakos or not. He won a lot during his time at Celtic Park, both as player and manager, and we can only wish him the best.
