Celtic fans must be absolutely delighted with how well the club have done during the time of Ange Postecoglou as the manager. They won an unexpected double last season and could be headed towards a treble this time around, with the Scottish Cup final coming up next month against Championship side, Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

As a result of this success, a number of their players have also been linked with moves away from Parkhead in the summer. Of course, it is nothing that Celtic fans are not used to.

With another Champions League group stage campaign coming up, the club will need to make sure though that they hold onto their best players and hopefully somehow manage to strengthen their squad further in the summer. The fans will trust in the ability of Postecoglou and his team to do that though.

Postecoglou has admitted that players could move on following their success but seems to be looking forward to that challenge. As reported by the Daily Record, the Celtic manager said:

"“I think it’s fair to say we are in the second year and things are embedded, that includes the core playing group. But that also gives you the opportunity to grow as a team. Part of that challenge will be the more success you have the more likely it will be that some of your players will move on.“They get the attention of other clubs. We have to be ready to fill those gaps with players who have the ability to take us to another level altogether. So there is always those challenges there.“Another year you get to the point where there is any great certainty about the team we are finishing with and the team we will be starting the new season with.”"

A number of the current crop of players have become fan favourites during their time at Parkhead. Thus, people won’t want to see them leave anytime soon. And yet, that is the reality of modern football.

The likes of Kyogo, Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate, Liel Abada, Carl Starfelt and a few more have been linked with Parkhead exits. The fans will be hoping that most, if not all, of them remain at the club beyond the current campaign.

The Hoops have built up quite the squad and if they can properly strengthen it in the summer, then there is a possibility that they could make their presence felt in the group of the Champions League next season while continuing their success in domestic competitions.
