Celtic have enjoyed a brilliant campaign. They are on the verge of winning a treble, with the Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle set for next month. But the club have never stood still under the management of Ange Postecoglou. One would expect them to continue in that manner in the upcoming summer transfer window as well.

If there is one area where they need to improve, it is European football. Celtic put in some good performances in the Champions League last season but failed to produce results.

They are back in the Champions League group stage next season and will surely look to improve. And one area where they might be looking to bring in reinforcements is striker.

Kyogo has been spectacular this season but beyond Oh Hyeon-gyu is the only cover to the Japanese star. And it remains to be seen how good the South Korean striker is. He has shown flashes of brilliance at times but overall, there is a lot of room for improvement.

Celtic interested in signing American striker this summer

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Hungarian media reports claim Celtic, as well as Bundesliga club Stuttgart, are keen on American striker Eduvie Ikoba.

Ikoba currently plays in the Hungarian top flight and has been very impressive this season. It remains to be seen what his future holds though and there have been suggestions that he could be on the move this summer. Let’s see if that ends up happening or not in the near future.

Celtic could definitely do with another option up front. They only have two players capable of playing there at the moment. And it was their finishing which had let them down last season in the Champions League. Thus, someone like Ikoba could be a welcome introduction to this team.
