Adidas make odd move with next season’s Celtic kit
Since the start of Celtic’s partnership with Adidas, we have seen some incredible kits from the German sportswear giants. Of course, football shirts are always hit and miss, and it all comes down to individual taste. Overall though, it would be safe to say that the majority of the club’s supporters have been pleased with the jerseys over the last few few years.
This season is not over. Celtic still have three more league games to play as well as the Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle next month.
At the same time though, quite a bit of excitement has started to build up surrounding next season’s kits. This is the time of the year when leaks and mock up jerseys make the rounds on social media.
But in a somewhat odd move, Adidas have put Celtic’s third jersey for next season on sale on their official website. Not many would have seen this coming.

The jersey itself is unique as well. It is Vista Green/Beam Green in colour. It is also made with 100% recycled materials.
It is hard to describe the design but it is an attempt to stay in tune with Glaswegian culture. The shapes and colours come from the city’s thriving arts scene, with the sound wave-inspired design.
It is safe to say that this kit will come down to the individual taste of the fans. Some will love it, others not so much. But once again, it is an attempt on the part of Adidas to make the Celtic kit stand out, which must be commended.
It remains to be seen how the home and away kits look like. Some brilliant images have been doing the rounds on social media and let’s see if they turn out to be accurate or not.
