Celtic have done a great job over the past two seasons under the management of Ange Postecoglou. While the mood around Parkhead might be down after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Rangers away at Ibrox, it is important to look at the bigger picture. The Hoops won the double in the previous campaign and are in the running for a treble this time around.

They have excelled in recent times when it comes to identifying players. But one area which still remains one of need for the club is bringing through their youth stars into the senior team.

It has been an issue for the club for quite some time now. It must be said though that they have not been helped by some of their best youngsters leaving for other teams across Europe, before ever making their presence felt at Parkhead. And it looks like another one of their youngsters could be on the way soon.

As reported by Football Insider, Brighton & Hove Albion are trying to push through a deal for Ronan Ferns. Rival Premier League clubs have registered interest in the Celtic youngster, forcing The Seagulls to move quickly to seal a deal.

Brighton & Hove Albion are believed to be big fans of the defender. And it remains to be seen if The Seagulls can pull off a move or not.

Ferns is only 16 years of age and considered as one of the biggest talents that the club have right now. But it looks like his future lies away from Parkhead.

Celtic do have some youngsters who have gotten first-team chances lately, like Rocco Vata and Ben Summers. And one would be hoping that they are able to make the jump soon, and become regulars in the near future.
