Celtic have enjoyed another very successful season under the management of Ange Postecoglou. They have already won the Premiership and the League Cup, and their sights will now be set on the treble. The Hoops have already booked their place in the final of the Scottish Cup and will be taking on Championship side, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, next month at Hampden Park.

The upcoming summer transfer window will be an interesting one for the club for sure. On one hand, they must strengthen the squad with another Champions League group stage campaign coming up. On the other hand, several of the player are being linked with moves away owing to their impressive performances.

One such player appears to be Carl Starfelt. The Swedish centre-back has been a stalwart in the heart of defence for Celtic over the past two seasons, alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.

As reported by Sky Sports, a number of clubs from the Premier League and across Europe are interested in Starfelt.

Starfelt was signed by Celtic in the summer of 2021 from Rubin Kazan. And while he made a slow start to life at Parkhead, he has certainly developed into a key player for the Hoops.

At this point of time, it is hard to think of a starting XI without Starfelt. Thus, one would be hoping that he remains at Celtic Park for the foreseeable future.

Starfelt’s current deal with Celtic is believed to run until the summer of 2025. On the other hand, the club did bring in Yuki Kobayashi in January and if the Swede was to leave, he could take his place in the starting XI.

The Japanese centre-back is yet to be properly tested though. Let’s see how he does up against the Rangers at Ibrox this weekend.
