Celtic are the champions of Scotland again. Shout it out from the windows. Ange Postecoglou’s side went to Tynecastle Park knowing that a win over Hearts would be enough to clinch the league title and this is not a team that misses opportunities often. They got themselves a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu.

That means that with four games still to be played in the season, Celtic are champions. There is no way left for the Rangers to catch up with them. And now, the Hoops can turn their focus to a treble.

They face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the final of the Scottish Cup next month. But before that, they must take the time to appreciate the moment as well. It is not easy to win back-to-back league titles. Surely, the Rangers fans will tell you about that.

And Postecoglou appeared to be emotional and reflective while talking about the achievement. While speaking on Sky Sports, the Celtic manager said:

"“The whole club really embraced me from day one and for that, I take pride that I am able to sort of give something back.”"

Postecoglou has certainly given a lot back to this football club and its fans. It is easy to forget the situation that they were in, when the Australian manager arrived in the summer of 2021.

They had finished trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers in the league in the previous campaign. On top of that, several of their key players were on their way out of the club that summer as well.

Thus, things were not looking good to say the very least. And many were predicting that Celtic would need two to three years to even get back to competing for the league again. To win back to back league titles from there is no easy task. And they could go one step beyond, by delivering the treble next month. For now, it is time to celebrate.
