Celtic will go into this weekend’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle Park, knowing that a win will be enough for them to be crowned champions of Scotland for the second straight season. Only one more victory is all the Hoops need over their last five league matches of the ongoing campaign.
It is not just the league that Celtic have dominated though. The club appear to be on the verge of a treble. The League Cup is already in the bag while they will be taking on Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup final next month at Hampden Park.
There is no question that Celtic are the best team in Scotland right now. And that has been the case during the time of Ange Postecoglou at Parkhead.
Such has been their dominance over Scottish football that even opposition players have started to admit it. As reported by Edinburgh Live, Hearts’ Peter Haring said about Celtic:
"“Every win is different and some taste sweeter than others but obviously beating Celtic, who have been by far the best team in Scotland since I got here, always feels really good.”"
Hearts player makes superb statement before Celtic game
It remains to be seen how the game plays out at the weekend at Tynecastle Park. Celtic will surely go into the game looking for a win, which has always been the case during the stint of Postecoglou as manager, no matter what the situation.
There is no reason to change anything at this point of time, considering how much success they have enjoyed while following that approach. Now, it remains to be seen if they can get the job done or not. It might not be easy though.
Hearts are very capable of springing up a surprise if the situation calls for it. As a result, Celtic cannot go into the game thinking that they are about to be crowned champions of Scotland. They must take their A-game to Tynecastle Park at the weekend and try to get the job done.
