Todd Cantwell might have arrived at Ibrox in January but he has already established himself as a controversial figure amongst Celtic fans. His take after the Glasgow Derby at Parkhead did not go down too well. And the incident involving him and Reo Hatate at the weekend did not earn him any fans either.

At the end of the day, despite all the controversy as well as hype, Cantwell is yet to taste victory against Celtic though. He started the game at Hampden Park at the weekend but could only see his side lost 1-0 at the hands of the Hoops, thanks to a first-half winner from Jota.

The result also means that Celtic are in the Scottish Cup final and on the verge of a treble. On the other hand, the Rangers are on the verge of finishing trophyless.

Greg Taylor appeared to take a bit of a dig at Cantwell after the recent Glasgow Derby. As reported by Football Scotland, the Celtic player said:

"“Yeah, he’s just another opponent. Everyone tries to give their best out there.“We just do our talking on the pitch and some could learn from that.”"

That is some advice that Cantwell, and several other of the Rangers’ players could follow moving forward. Because a lot has been made of the comments coming out of the Ibrox camp in the lead up to the Glasgow Derby every time.

And yet, they are yet to win one this season, having lost four and drawn one of the five games that they have played against Celtic in the ongoing campaign till now. That is not good enough.

Michael Beale and his Rangers side will have one last chance to win a Glasgow Derby this season, when they meet Celtic at Ibrox. But the result of that game is not expected to have much of an impact on the title race. In fact, the Hoops could already champions of Scotland before a ball is kicked on that derby day.
