The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be an interesting one for Celtic. Not only will the club have to find ways to strengthen their squad further this time around, but they also have to make sure that they hold on to their best players as well, who are being linked with moves away.

On the other hand, it looks like the club might have to keep an eye out on what is happening at other teams as well. There is a possibility that it could end up handing them a boost.

One player whose future is up in the air right now is Kieran Tierney, who has not played a lot of football this season. As a result, it will come as no surprise that he is being linked with a move away from Arsenal.

There does not seem to be a lack of interest in signing him. As reported by Football Insider, Manchester City are actively working to find out if a deal can be done with Arsenal over the transfer of Tierney. The Scotsman is believed to be valued at a fee around £30 million by the London club.

Of course, Tierney came through the ranks at Celtic. It was in the summer of 2019 that he would end up joining Arsenal in a Scottish record move.

Celtic are believed to have a sell-on clause for him though. As a result, they can expect a portion of the transfer fee that Arsenal will receive if they let Tierney leave, over the £25 million that the London club shelled out to sign him in the first place.

Manchester City are not the only club who have been linked with Tierney. Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also rumoured to be interested in signing him.
