Celtic look heavy favourites to retain the Scottish Premiership title this season. Following the first phase of the league campaign, the Hoops currently sit at the top of the points table, leading the race by 13 points. One more win will see them crowned champions. While the Glasgow giants are showing no sign of stopping, the upcoming summer transfer window could be interesting, with a number of their players being linked with moves away.

Liel Abada is rumoured to be one of the players interested in making a switch next summer. Having joined Celtic in the summer of 2021, the 21-year-old has had a solid run at Parkhead over the past couple of seasons.

However, Abada has seen a decline in his playing time and starting opportunities. The likes of Jota and Daizen Maeda seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order comfortably right now.

According to rumours, Abada might leave Celtic in search of regular game time. And in that scenario, the club might need to add to their forward line.

Celtic weighing up transfer move for 18-goal striker

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are keeping tabs on and sent scouts to watch 25-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international Levi Garcia.

The forward showed his quality during AEK Athens’ 3-1 victory against Olympiacos on Sunday. Garcia demonstrated his prowess by scoring his 18th goal of the season via a penalty.

The 6ft-tall striker is versatile, capable of playing in the centre or on the right. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 18 goals and provided 6 assists in 33 appearances this season till now.

As a result, it is not hard to see why he might interest a club like Celtic. Now, it remains to be seen if they can pull off a move for Garcia in the future or not.
