Neil Lennon’s reputation amongst Celtic fans took a bit of a blow as a result of the terrible 2020/21 campaign, in which they finished trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers in the league. But despite that, there is no denying that he is an absolute club legend, who did a very good job for the Hoops, both as a player and as a manager.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Lennon in management. But he does foresee a very bright future for Celtic as a club and their dominance over Scottish football.

Celtic won a double against all odds and expectations last season. And this time around, the League Cup is already in the bag, the Premiership looks almost certain and they are still in the running for the Scottish Cup as well, and will face the Rangers in the semi-final at Hampden Park this weekend.

Of course, the players and the coaching staff deserve credit for their achievements over the past couple of seasons. But so does everyone at Celtic, at every level. It was not an easy job to oversee such a massive rebuild in such a short span of time.

Lennon makes sensational Celtic dominance claim

Lennon feels that the Celtic dominance is here to stay. As reported by the Daily Record, he told PLZ Soccer:

"“I think we’re looking at another long period of Celtic dominance.”"

The Northern Irish manager further went on to add:

"“The club is in good health and that’s because they have clever people behind the scenes as well.”"

Of course, Hoops fans will be hoping that Lennon is right this time around. At the moment, they do seem to be miles ahead of the Rangers though, but things can change quickly.

Thus, it is important for Celtic to continue strengthening their squad, hold on to their best players for as long as possible and of course, make sure that Postecoglou remains at the club. If they can do that, another era of green and white dominance in Scottish football might be just starting.
