Unexpectedly, Inter Milan find themselves in the Champions League semi-finals this time around, where they will be taking on AC Milan. But despite of their impressive run in Europe, Simone Inzaghi’s side have had a tough time in league competition this season and have been on a terrible run of form lately, which has seen them slip out of the top four in Serie A. Thus, reinforcements are needed and could they go after a former Celtic player?

Romelu Lukaku is only on loan from Chelsea at this point of time. And he has struggled with both fitness and form. As a result, if he was to return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, Inter Milan would be in need of another striker.

One player who is set to be available as a free agent this summer is Moussa Dembele, with his current deal running out with Lyon. And could he end up joining Inter Milan?

As reported by FC Internews (via 67 Hail Hail), Dembele has been offered to Inter Milan.

Dembele has been through an up and down time at Lyon over the years. On top of his game, he has had great seasons and been one of the best players in Ligue 1. But then, he has had bad spells as well.

Overall, there is no doubt that he is a very good striker. And it remains to be seen what the future holds for him. Signing someone like Dembele on a free transfer has the potential to be an absolute masterstroke though.

Of course, him leaving on a free transfer would not be good news for Celtic, as they were believed to have a sell-on clause. But it is what it is. Dembele was a great player for the club and we can only wish him the best moving forward.
