Manchester City are in the running to win a treble this season. They are in the final of the FA Cup, the semi-finals of the Champions League and if they win their games in hand, they will win the Premier League. Despite that, it looks like Pep Guardiola has his eyes on improving his squad further in the summer and has his eyes on a former Celtic player.

Of course, we all know about the rumours linking Kieran Tierney and Jeremie Frimpong. But it looks like Aaron Hickey could be on the move in the near future, after an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League.

Hickey spent several years in the youth ranks at Celtic. But ended up making a move to Hearts before he could make his senior debut for the club.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Hickey is a £30 million summer target for Manchester City. The Scottish full-back has been identified by Guardiola.

Hickey has joined the list of the ones who got away, along with Andy Robertson in recent times. It is quite clear that he has a bright future ahead of him.

Fans will remember that Celtic had actually tried to bring him back to the club after his impressive performances for Hearts. But Hickey took the brave decision of moving to Italy instead by joining Bologna.

It is quite clear that all the risky moves have paid off for Hickey over the years. And it remains to be seen if he gets a move to Manchester City in the summer.

Hickey could have been a solid player for Celtic. But back then, the club had Kieran Tierney playing at left-back. As a result, it is not hard to see why he chose to depart Parkhead in search of regular football elsewhere.
