Celtic are one win away from being crowned champions of Scotland once again. It has been a long but successful season for Ange Postecoglou’s side till now. And with five post-split fixtures still to be played, it is hard to imagine them not being able to get the job done from here. In fact, they will have their eyes on a treble.
Celtic’s next game is the Scottish Cup semi-final against the Rangers at Hampden Park. The club have not lost against the Ibrox side in the ongoing campaign till now. On the other hand though, they lost this same fixture last season. Thus, the Hoops do have a point to prove and a mistake to rectify going into the game this weekend.
After that, the focus will move back towards the league. It is still important to get over the finish line as soon as possible. And the schedule for the post-split fixtures are now out.
As reported by Celtic’s official website, they will take on Hearts at Tynecastle Park on May 7, Rangers at Ibrox on May 13, St Mirren at home on May 20, Hibernian at Easter Road on May 24 and finally, Aberdeen at Parkhead on May 27.
Celtic make announcement with league title win close
Let’s hope that Celtic are crowned champions of Scotland as soon as possible. With just one more win needed, their next chance of doing that will be against Hearts.
Of course, some fans will be interested by the idea of clinching the title at Ibrox. But why not go there as champions in the first place?
At the end of the day, it does not really matter when and where Celtic win the Premiership, as long as they do win it. Of course, Postecoglou’s side have the chance to break quite a few all-time records as well.
