Celtic are set to take on the Rangers in the important Scottish Cup semi-final this weekend. It is a game with huge implications for both sides. For the Hoops, it is their chance at winning a treble. They have the League Cup already in the bag and are one win away from retaining the Premiership title as well.

Let’s see how the Scottish Cup semi-final plays out. Celtic have not lost to the Rangers this season till now but their recent performances have been shaky. Hopefully, they will take their A-game to Hampden Park. They lost this same fixture in the previous campaign and must rectify that.

After the Scottish Cup, the focus will shift back towards the Premiership though. The first phase is already over and now, the post-split fixtures remain.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are expected to start at Hearts on the Coronation weekend. And looks likely that Rangers will host the Hoops on the weekend of May 13/14 in the second round of fixtures.

Of course, when it comes to clinching the league title, there is no place like home. But if it has to happen away, both Tynecastle Park and Ibrox are great places to do it.

The most important thing is winning the Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend and then looking to get the title race over the line as soon as possible. We saw the Hoops drop points after a long time at the weekend, in a 1-1 draw against Motherwell.

They cannot allow the negative result to disrupt their momentum though. Instead, it should come as a bit of a wake up call for the team, as their recent performances had not been great. But at the same time, one cannot overlook that they are missing key players.
