Celtic looking to sign in-form Swansea City forward
The season might not be over yet, especially for Celtic who are still vying for the Premiership and the Scottish Cup, but at the same time, the summer transfer window is not far away. And if we have learned anything about Ange Postecoglou’s side over the past couple of years, it is that they have their recruitment plans in place well in advance.
The club have spread their nets far and wide during the time of Postecoglou as manager, when it comes to scouting. But it looks like a player from the English Championship might have caught their eye ahead of the summer.
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic, Middlesbrough and Sunderland are all keeping an eye on in-form Swansea City forward Liam Cullen.
Of course, Celtic have two strikers in their ranks right now in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu. But they could definitely do with a third option there as well. Could Cullen turn out to be that player?

Cullen has been an in-form player for Swansea City in recent times. And he has not just been used as a striker, but on the wings as well. Thus, his versatility could be an asset for clubs.
Cullen started the campaign very slow but has found his form afterwards. All of his goals in the Championship have come after the World Cup break. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 30 appearances and 1298 minutes of action this season.
It is also worth remembering that a lot of his appearances have come off the bench. Thus, those numbers are pretty decent for the 24-year-old. His current deal with Swansea City runs out in the summer of 2024 as well, so he could potentially be available for a bargain transfer fee too.
