Celtic have faced injury problems at the very end of the campaign. There are just six more league games to go, as well as the Scottish Cup semi-final and the final, if the Hoops can make it past the Rangers this time around. The number of fitness doubts at the moment is something that will worry Ange Postecoglou though.

Their next game is against Motherwell at Parkhead in the league, the final match of the first phase of the Premiership season. And on the occasion, they are set to be without three of their key players.

As reported by Sky SportsJota, Reo Hatate and Liel Abada are set to miss out against Motherwell. But Postecoglou refused to divulge whether he expects any of them to be back for next weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final game against Rangers.

It goes without saying that all three of them have had their part to play in Celtic’s successes under the management of Postecoglou over the past couple of seasons. Thus, the Hoops will surely be hoping that they recover in time to feature in what is most probably their most important game remaining this season.

The hope is that Hatate and Abada will be fit to feature against the Rangers. They have been out of action for a while and did not take part in the previous Glasgow Derby, which Celtic won 3-2.

Jota found the back of the net in that game. But there seems to be a bit of a mystery surrounding his situation. The Portuguese winger has missed two straight games now and yet, not much is clear about the issue that is preventing him from playing.

Jota is a very important part of this team. And while Celtic do have depth, it is hard to replace the Portuguese winger’s brilliance.
