£5 million Celtic player could complete exit this summer
Celtic have earned a lot of plaudits for their scouting and recruitment during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. And it goes without saying that they have been excellent in that department over the past couple of seasons. At the same time though, one cannot forget that before the Australian’s arrival, it was considered by many as a weakness by many fans.
The summer transfer window of 2020 is a prime example. The club did make several additions with 10IAR up for grabs, but none of them really worked. The only success story was David Turnbull, and even he is a squad player these days.
One of the big signings that Celtic made that summer was bringing in Albian Ajeti from West Ham United for a transfer fee believed to be around £5 million. It did not work out at all, and after a couple of disappointing campaigns at Parkhead, the Swiss striker left on loan to join Sturm Graz last summer.
Many Celtic fans will be hoping that the move is turned permanent at the end of the campaign, because it does not feel like Ajeti has a future at Parkhead. And despite his average spell at Sturm Graz, it looks like there is still a chance that the Austrian club could sign him.

As reported by Kicker, Sturm Graz Managing Director of Sport, Andreas Schicker, said about the situation of Ajeti:
"“That is still open. Fortunately, we can still exercise the purchase option after the end of the season and therefore want to wait a few more games before we enter into an exchange with Celtic.”"
While easy to forget, Ajeti did make a bright start at Parkhead. In fact, he was averaging a goal every 47 minutes in the Premiership at one point of time.
He would end up suffering an injury while scoring his fifth goal for the club. And while he did not spend long out on the sidelines, he never seemed to discover his early form after that.
