Celtic have a stacked roster at this point of time and that has been one of the key reasons behind the club’s successes in the ongoing campaign. They have been able to deal with the hurdles that have been put in front of them till now. The Scottish League Cup is already in the bag and it seems almost certain that they will be retaining the Premiership as well.
A treble is still up for grabs as well, as Celtic will be taking on the Rangers in the semi final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park later this month. And it must be pointed out that they have not lost a Glasgow Derby this season till now.
The club seem to have been handed some injury fears lately though. There have been rumours that Cameron Carter-Vickers might need to undergo surgery, as he has been dealing with an injury.
And now, there is a mystery surrounding the fitness situation of Jota as well. He missed the game against Kilmarnock at the weekend. And as reported by 67 Hail Hail, he doesn’t appear to have been involved in training on Thursday.
Celtic player appears to miss training raising injury fears
Of course, Jota had been absent from training in the lead up to the game vs Kilmarnock as well. And if he did indeed miss training as well, it will only raise the concerns of the fans regarding his situation.
Concerns were played down after the game against Kilmarnock though. So let’s just hope that there is nothing serious about the situation.
If he is dealing with any issue then it might be the right decision to not risk any further injury before the important Scottish Cup semi-final against the Rangers. That is the game in which Celtic will need Jota the most.
