Celtic have strengthened all over the pitch during the time of Ange Postecoglou as the manager of the club. That depth has served them well, as they have navigated through the twists and turns presented to them through the course of the season and now seem well on their way to winning a second straight Premiership title. A treble is still on the table as well. The Hoops are expected to bring more players in in the summer though and could one of them be from Liverpool.

If there is one area of the pitch where Celtic need to strengthen, it might very well be goalkeeper. Joe Hart has turned 36 years of age. Overall, he has done a very good job since arriving at the club. But at the same time, there have been some question marks over his recent form.

One thing that is clear is that Hart is not the long-term solution between the posts. Sooner or later, Celtic will have to look for another goalkeeper.

Recent rumours have linked them with a move for Liverpool’s back up goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher. And there seems to be some good news regarding that.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool could also look at a new back up goalkeeper in the summer as Kelleher hopes to get more minutes as regular starter elsewhere next season. Many clubs are already showing an interest in signing him on a loan deal in case the Reds give the green light.

Kelleher is a fantastic goalkeeper and has proven that when he has been given a chance. They have been few and far between though, as he has struggled to get ahead of Alisson Becker in the pecking order at Anfield.

Alisson is one of the best in the world and is expected to remain number one for a while. On the other hand, a loan deal could make sense for Celtic as well. Of course, with plenty of interest in his signature, it will not be easy to sign him.
